Boys Basketball defeats Jones, stays undefeated

The Warcub Boys basketball team defeated Jones Middle 52-41 to remain undefeated.

Key contributors included Nolan Jones (19 points), Declan Champey (6 pts, 6 rebounds), Tyric Hicks (11 points), Kahmoad Scriven (8 pts, 4 steals), and Kalen Lancaster (4 points, 6 rebounds).

Congratulations to the HJ Boys Golf Team . . . conference champions again!

The Warcubs were led by conference player of the year, Randall Hudson.  Hudson shot an even-par score of 36 to earn medalist honors.  All-conference honors were also earned by Ethan Best (shot a 47), Declan Champey (50), and Austin Davis (52).

 All team members improved throughout the year and played a significant role in the team's success.  Congratulations Warcubs!

Wrestling tryouts

The first wrestling practice is set for Monday, November 9th from 3:45 to 5:30.  All student-athletes will need a completed physical form turned in and passing grades (bring your report card!).

Warcub golfers improve, take 2nd and 3rd places

The H.J. MacDonald boys golf teams had a successful day on Thursday, with the A team finishing in 2nd place and the B team finishing in 3rd place.

The Warcubs A team shot a team score of 198, which was nine strokes better than their last match and were led by Randall Hudson (shot 42), Ethan Best (49), Austin Davis (53), Andrew D'Elia (55) and Declan Champey (55).

The Warcubs B team shot a team score of 235, an improvement of six strokes from their last match.  They were led by Will Ezell (59).

The golf team finishes with two matches next week; including the conference championship match on Wednesday.  Good luck boys!
